ChemTutors is an organization of chemistry professors dedicated to helping college students learn
chemistry. We were founded in Boston in August 2001 with the mission of providing the highest quality
tutoring services possible. Each of us has been a faculty member at a college or university with
experience teaching the courses that we tutor. While we do not tutor students enrolled at our own
college or university, we feel that we have a lot to offer students at other institutions that could
benefit from our experience and passion for teaching.
When selecting professors to become tutors for ChemTutors, we have four primary criteria:

- must be an excellent and passionate teacher
- must have taught the course they will tutor
- must be an excellent speaker of English
- must be an expert in his or her field of chemistry.
By selecting professionals with these attributes, we feel that we can offer a uniquely
high quality tutoring service.
